I am concerned about the 20W output, as I enjoy SSB. Xiegu G90 - I’ve been obsessed with this rig lately. I believe I’ve narrowed it down to two candidates - the Xiegu G90 and the Yaesu FT-891 Computer control for digital modes is a must. Instead, I would like a rig to use for POTA, SOTA, and perhaps other traveling.
I am also within walking distance of my university’s great base station, so I’m not trying to replicate that at home, at least not right now.
I live in a basement apartment with little space for an HF antenna. I’m looking at getting my first rig and am on a tight budget.
